Niv Fridman
I am a multidisciplinary queer artist who works in video, photography, painting, drawing, digital art, writing, performance and costume making. I graduated from Bezalel Academy of Arts in Jerusalem and the student exchange program at the Cooper Union in NYC. I have participated in multiple exhibitions in Israel and abroad and won awards such as the LGBTQ Award for Israeli Young Artist. Sabotaging the historic narrative, which was shaped by the Heterosexual patriarchy point of view, is one of the key elements in my practice. In many of my works I play the main character, planting my image as a queer into canonical historic documents.
