For me, hedonism is about being true to who you are and giving into self indulgence but also hedonism as an act of self care and self expression as a queer person :) also, I think as an artist, I live very much in a dream world of my own creation and sometimes that means a very camp or hedonistic and over the top mode of self expression… when I think of hedonism or depicting this theme in artwork, I think about things like classical mythology and fairy-tales, particularly, the goddess Aphrodite and how it’s important as someone who identifies as a woman to appreciate and love other women- allowing urself to be soft and indulgent sometimes for the pursuit of happiness and quality of life! 🩵💚💗
